2026 Season
April 4- May 30
Upstate Football League was created to provide players and coaches with a unique opportunity to train and compete during the off-season.
By participating in spring football, teams can continue growing together, sharpening their skills, and building confidence through additional player development.
Whether it’s helping seasoned athletes prepare for the next level or guiding younger players toward bigger roles, our league is designed to support every stage of growth.
Open to all organizations across the state and surrounding areas, we welcome programs from any fall league that wants to strengthen their football foundation and elevate their game.
Youth Football in Spring: A Game Changer
For years, New York trailed behind in developing competitive young football players.
That changed with the Upstate Youth Athletics team program, giving football-first kids the same advanced opportunities long available in lacrosse and soccer.
Today, spring football is the key to building stronger athletes and stronger programs.
Why Spring Football?
-
Focus on Fundamentals – Coaches emphasize technique, footwork, and game IQ.
-
Low-Pressure Growth – A relaxed season lets kids experiment and learn without the stress of fall competition.
-
Year-Round Fitness – Stay active, build strength, and prepare for the demands of autumn.
-
Gateway for New Players – A perfect introduction for beginners before the fall season.
-
Refinement for Returning Players – Extra time to sharpen skills and step into bigger roles.
Spring football isn’t just more games; it’s a pathway to development, confidence, and long-term success.
